The Nashville Predators have placed centre Kyle Turris on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.

Turris left Friday’s game against the St. Louis Blues in the first period after taking a hard hit into the boards from Brayden Schenn. The 29-year-old has five goals and 16 points in 23 games with the Predators this season.

The news comes while defenceman P.K. Subban and forward Viktor Arvidsson are already sidelined with injuries. Subban has been nursing an upper-body injury and hasn’t played since Nov. 13, while Arvidsson has been out since Nov. 11 with a broken thumb, which has a six-to-eight week recovery timetable.

In a corresponding move, Nashville called up forward Rocco Grimaldi from the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals.
