Predators sign forward Miikka Salomaki to two-year deal

The Nashville Predators have signed forward Miikka Salomaki to a two-year, $1.5-million contract, avoiding arbitration with the restricted free agent.

The 25-year-old appeared in 58 games for the Predators last season, recording two goals and eight points to go along with 34 penalty minutes.

Selected with the 52nd overall pick in the 2011 draft, the Raahe, Finland native has eight goals and 19 points in 125 career games for Nashville.
