Predators sign Mike Fisher to 1-year contract

The Nashville Predators have officially signed Mike Fisher to a one-year contract.

The contract carries a pro-rated $1-million cap hit.

Fisher has played in Nashville since being acquired from Ottawa in 2010-11.

The 37-year-old captained the team to its first Stanley Cup Final appearance last season.

He retired in August, before announcing his intention to return to the Predators on Jan. 31.
