Los Angeles Kings forward Jarret Stoll was arrested in Las Vegas for suspicion of cocaine possession Friday, according to a report.

Sportsnet has confirmed with PBX operator Lamontagne of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department that Stoll is in custody. The LAMPD would not confirm any other details of the arrest.

Although Stoll may be in trouble with the law, he may not face any discipline from the NHL.

Former Tampa Bay Lightning winger Ryan Malone was arrested for DUI and cocaine possession in June of 2014. Malone plead no contest to the DUI charge, and avoided a possession charge by agreeing to a pre-trial diversion program.

The league did not levy Malone with any further discipline and he was cleared to sign a contract with the New York Rangers in September of 2014. He did, however, participate in the NHL/NHLPA’s Substance Abuse/Behavioural Health Program.

Stoll, 32, scored six goals and finished with 17 points in 73 games with the Kings in 2014-15.
