Report: Panthers sign forward Frank Vatrano to three-year extension

The Florida Panthers have signed forward Frank Vatrano to a three-year extension with an annual cap hit of $2.53 million, according to George Richards of the Athletic.

Vatrano would have become a restricted free agent after signing a one-year extension last off-season. In 59 games this season, the East Longmeadow, Mass., native has 20 goals, 13 assists and 33 points.

The 24-year-old was traded to Florida by the Boston Bruins ahead of the 2018 trade deadline for a third-round pick. In 183 career games, Vatrano has 45 goals, 27 assists and 72 points with the Bruins and Panthers.
