The Ottawa Senators have signed defenceman Andreas Englund to a one-year, two-way contract extension, the team announced Tuesday.
The deal carries an average annual value of $700,000 in the NHL and $80,000 in the American Hockey League.
Englund, 23, recently finished his third professional season, recording three goals, 14 points and 77 penalty minutes with the Belleville Senators. He has skated in nine games with Ottawa throughout his career, being held scoreless while posting 12 penalty minutes.
In 206 career AHL games, the Swedish defenceman has recorded seven goals, 34 points and 228 penalty minutes.
