The San Jose Sharks have signed forward Jonny Brodzinski to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Brodzinski, 26, played 13 games for the Los Angeles Kings last season, recording two goals and one assist. In total, the right-winger has accumulated six goals and 11 points in 54 career NHL games with the Kings.

“Brodzinski has an excellent combination of power and scoring skillset,” said Sharks general manager Doug Wilson in a press release. “He had a great collegiate career at St. Cloud State and has continued that success at the professional level. We feel there’s a good opportunity for him to earn playing time and help us offensively this upcoming season.”

The forward recorded 56 goals and 108 points in 156 career AHL games with the Ontario Reign. Brodzinski was originally selected by the Kings in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Draft, 148th overall.
