Sharks sign veteran forward Dainius Zubrus to one-year deal

Joe Pavelski scored twice and the San Jose Sharks rallied late for a 5-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets for their sixth straight victory.

The San Jose Sharks have signed forward Dainius Zubrus to a one-year, two way contract, the club announced Tuesday.

The veteran winger has registered 225 goals and 584 points in 1,243 career NHL regular season games over 18 seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals, Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils since being drafted by the Flyers in the first round (15th overall) in 1996.

Zubrus, 37, played with Sharks head coach Peter DeBoer in New Jersey from 2011-2014
