This will be just the fourth time Slovenia has reached the Games, having finished 7th in Sochi in 2014 after appearing twice as part of Yugoslavia in 1964 and 1984. It will be Norway’s 12th Olympic Games, appearing in the last two with its best finish coming in 1972 when they settled for 8th.

Slovenia was led by Los Angeles Kings centre Anze Kopitar, though it’s yet to be determined whether or not NHLers will attend the Pyeongchang tournament. Kopitar finished with an assist Sunday, helping his side to a 3-2 victory over Belarus. He helped Slovenia reach the quarterfinals of the Sochi tournament, scoring two goals and an assist.

New York Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello scored a goal in Norway’s 2-1 win over France.
