St. Louis Blues to wear Cardinals sweaters

Jaden Schwartz had a goal and an assist and Jake Allen got light work in net for the St. Louis Blues, who ended a three-game home losing streak and clinched a playoff spot with a 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames.

Synergy! Cross-promotion! Charity!

For the playoff-bound St. Louis Blues’ regular-season finale, the team will sport St. Louis Cardinals sweaters during warm-ups at Scottrade Center — and they look awesome.

After warm-ups, each player will autograph his jersey for an online auction. Proceeds will benefit the charitable arms of both organizations, the Blues 14 Fund and Cardinals Care.

Fans can bid on the sweaters (modeled by Paul Stastny and David Backes below) at the Blues’ website.

The Blues wrap their season April 11 with a matinee game versus the Minnesota Twins Wild.
