Stars ink Brent Regner to one-year, two-way deal

The Dallas Stars have signed defenceman Brent Regner to a one-year, two-way contract.

The 28-year-old recorded two goals and 11 assists in 28 games played for the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL in 2016-17.

Regner has appeared in seven NHL games over his career, all coming with the Florida Panthers in 2015-16. The blueliner was originally drafted in the fifth round of the 2008 draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
