Stars sign goalie Colton Point to entry-level contract

The Dallas Stars have signed goaltender Colton Point to a three-year entry-level contract.

The 20-year-old netminder spent the 2017-18 with Colgate University of the Eastern College Athletic Conference, posting a 16-12-5 record with a .944 save percentage, a 1.74 goals-against average and six shutouts in 33 games.

Point also represented Canada at 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship, earning a win in his only appearance as the team went on to win gold.

The North Bay, Ont., native was selected in the fifth round (128th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft.
