Toronto Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov has signed a one-year contract with HC Dynamo Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League, according to Sport-Express.

Komarov played three full seasons, plus the start of the 2012-13 campaign, with Dynamo Moscow.

In his first season playing in North America, the Estonian-born Fin registered four goals and nine points in 42 games with the Maple Leafs.

Komarov also had six goals and nine points in 14 American Hockey League games with the Toronto Marlies.

Although he didn’t register a point, the 26-year-old was praised for his solid forechecking and defensive play in the Leafs’ seven-game playoff series against the Boston Bruins.

Komarov was selected by the Maple Leafs in the sixth round (180th overall) in the 2006 NHL Draft and has represented Finland at four consecutive IIHF World Hockey Championships.
