Leafs add depth on defence, sign Brennan

The Toronto Maple Leafs have added some depth on the blue line by signing defenceman T.J. Brennan to a one-year deal worth $600,000, Hockey Central Insider Nick Kypreos has confirmed.

Brennan spent the majority of the 2012-13 season with the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League, registering 35 points in 36 games.

The 24-year-old had one point in 10 games with the Buffalo Sabres before being traded to the Florida Panthers. With the Panthers, the Willingboro, N.J., native had nine points in 19 games.

Brennan was drafted by the Sabres in the second round (31st overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft.
