The Canucks will hold a press conference on Wednesday, when it is expected they will announce Vancouver as the host the 2019 NHL Draft, according to Sportsnet’s Irfaan Gaffar.

Vancouver has hosted the event twice before: in 1990, when Owen Nolan was selected No. 1 overall by the Quebec Nordiques, and most recently in 2006 (Erik Johnson, St. Louis Blues). Montreal is the most recent Canadian city to host the draft (2009).
