The Minnesota Wild have re-signed forward Kevin Fiala to a two-year, $6-million contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Fiala’s new deal will pay the 23-year-old RFA $2.5 million in 2019-20 and $3.5 million in 2020-21.
The St. Gallen, Switzerland native recorded three goals and seven points in 19 games with the Wild last season after being acquired from the Nashville Predators for Mikael Granlund on Feb. 25. Fiala totalled 13 goals and 39 points in 83 games in 2018-19 between the Wild and Predators.
Selected 11th overall by the Predators in the 2014 draft, Fiala has racked up 45 goals and 97 points in 204 regular-season games.
