TORONTO (June 29, 2015) Match Game: Tim & Sid premiering on Canada Day is bigger than ________? Hosts Tim Micallef and Sid Seixeiro are ready to “edu-tain” the sports masses with the arrival of their new TV show Tim & Sid, premiering on Wednesday, July 1 on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific immediately following the Toronto Blue Jays game. Beginning July 2, Tim & Sid will be seen at its regular scheduled time, weeknights at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific.
The new, two-hour program will be broadcast live from the new Tim & Sid studio in Toronto. Based on Micallef and Seixeiro’s immensely popular sports-talk radio show Tim & Sid that aired on Sportsnet 590 The FAN and was simulcast on Sportsnet 360, the new TV series includes a mix of in-depth sports analysis, fan-favourite classics, and compelling guests.
The show’s premiere episode will delve into the major sports headlines of the day. Features and guests include:
- Appearances by Donovan Bailey and Russell Martin
- Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, Nick Kypreos, and Daren Millard will go in-depth on the big moves and news from NHL Free Agency

About Tim Micallef
- Began his broadcasting career in 2004 with The Score (now Sportsnet 360) hosting various programs, including the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament and NFL coverage, as well as the nightly news show Score Tonight
- Since September 2002, Micallef has called more than 200 live CIS games, including football, men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball, and more than 20 CIS National Championship games. Micallef is known as the voice of OUA Football
