The Toronto Blue Jays have selected the contract of left-hander Kirby Snead and he will be active for Monday’s game against the Boston Red Sox.
Snead, 26, is sporting a 2-0 record with a 2.01 ERA, a 0.86 WHIP and 43 strikeouts in 31.1 innings of work with the triple-A Buffalo Bisons this season.
Right-hander Jacob Barnes has been designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
