The Toronto Blue Jays' lineup took another hit on Friday.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. exited the Blue Jays' game against the Chicago Cubs in the bottom of the sixth inning after grabbing at his back during his previous at-bat.
The 27-year-old popped up a pitch to shallow right field and reached for his back as he jogged up the first-base line.
After the team's 16-2 loss, Blue Jays manager John Schenider said the team just wanted to be careful with Guerrero and that he's expected to be ready to play Saturday.
Guerrero missed two games last weekend because of back tightness.
Guerrero hit his first home run over a month against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday but was 0-for-3 on three softly hit balls before being replaced by Charles McAdoo on Friday.
Guerrero has struggled this season, hitting only four homers and producing a .279/.367/.372 slash line that is well below his career norms.
