The Toronto Blue Jays have added left-handed pitcher Andrew Vasquez to the 15-day injured list. To take his place, the Jays have recalled right-hander Jeremy Beasley from triple-A Buffalo and will be active for Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers.

Vasquez exited Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Kansas City Royals at the bottom of the eighth inning. The Blue Jays revealed that the 28-year-old suffered a right ankle sprain.

Beasley played 12 games for the Buffalo Bisons this season, including three starts, holding a 1.01 ERA. He pitched three innings in the big leagues this year, with a 9.00 ERA.
