The Toronto Blue Jays are making some moves before their series in Seattle.
The team recalled right-hander Ryan Burr on Friday, optioning Jose Cuas to triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move, they announced.
Burr will be active in Friday's series-opener against the Seattle Mariners.
The 30-year-old has a 4.91 ERA in 3.2 innings pitched and has three strikeouts for the Blue Jays this season. Toronto acquired Burr at the end of May from the Philadelphia Phillies.
Cuas, who was claimed off waivers on June 23 from the Chicago Cubs, had three appearances for the Blue Jays, Cuas owns a 13.50 ERA, including an outing against the Houston Astros where he allowed three runs, one walk, two hit by pitches, one hit and no outs on just three pitches.
