Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Nate Pearson threw a clean inning for low-A affiliate Dunedin on Sunday.

The Blue Jays shut Pearson down on June 28 with a lat injury. In his first taste of action since then, the 26-year-old threw 10 pitches and six strikes.

Pearson hit 99 m.p.h and held steady at 97 m.p.h with his fastball during his time on the mound.

The Blue Jays front office is still in conversation about what follows for Pearson. Ultimately, the team hopes to see Pearson — the 28th overall pick in the 2017 MLB Draft — continue his rehab process with triple-A Buffalo.

Pearson has a 2-1 career record with the Blue Jays. He's pitched 33 innings in the big leagues including 36 strikeouts.
