Ricky Tiedemann is on the sidelines once more.
The oft-injured Toronto Blue Jays prospect's season has been paused due to a neck injury, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reported on Thursday.
Tiedemann received injections for symptoms he felt prior to rehab starts, per Nicholson-Smith.
The 23-year-old has appeared in two games this year for the Florida Coast League Blue Jays, tossing two innings with four strikeouts, two hits and an earned run.
Tiedemann missed all of last season and half of 2024 after undergoing Tommy John surgery that July.
He began to ramp up at the start of spring training this season, but was shut down after experiencing left elbow soreness in a side session.
Despite his extended injury absence, Tiedemann has still retained much of his prospect pedigree, currently ranking fourth on the Blue Jays' top 30 prospects according to MLB Pipeline.
Tiedemann was the top-ranked prospect in the Blue Jays system entering the 2024 season and also peaked at No. 29 on MLB Pipeline's top 100 list.
With a fastball that tops out at 98 m.p.h. from the left side, Tiedemann could be a candidate to move through the Blue Jays system quickly if he stays healthy.
