Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer will not play Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox as he undergoes more testing on his injured right elbow.

Springer left Tuesday's game with the injury after striking out three times.

Catcher Zack Collins is with the team in Chicago on the taxi squad.

The Blue Jays have an off day Thursday before starting a series in Milwaukee against the Brewers on Friday. That will give them time to get further evaluation of Springer and to determine whether to make a roster move.

With Springer out, Raimel Tapia plays centre field, Alejandro Kirk is at designated hitter and Gabriel Moreno catches on Wednesday.
