Trevor Bauer will be one of the most sought-after free-agent pitchers this off-season and the Toronto Blue Jays are looking for another starter to pair with Hyun-Jin Ryu and Nate Pearson. It seems like a match made in heaven and it appears Bauer agrees.
After MLB Network aired a segment on why the Jays and Bauer could be a good fit, the Cy Young finalist responded on Twitter.

Bauer famously stirred the pot with Canadian baseball fans back in 2016, when he shared a pro-USA tweet on Facebook after his Cleveland Indians defeated the Blue Jays in a 19-inning game on Canada Day. Bauer came out of the bullpen and pitched five scoreless frames to close out the game.
Still, whether Blue Jays fans like him or not, it's clear the team could use a starter of Bauer's calibre. The 29-year-old made 11 starts for the Cincinnati Reds this season, with two complete-game shutouts. He was named a finalist for the NL Cy Young award after posting a career-best 1.73 ERA and collecting 100 strikeouts, one of only three pitchers to hit the century mark in the shortened season.

Bauer has been very active on Twitter since the Reds were eliminated from the playoffs, lobbying for teams to make their best "pitch" (pun very much intended) for his services. MLB free agency opened on Sunday but with the pandemic impacting every team's finances, it might be a while before a team is comfortable offering Bauer the ace-worthy salary he's seeking.
