Luis Arraez won't be on Phillies roster for wild-card series vs. Braves

Luis Arraez will be sidelined to begin the post-season.

The Philadelphia Phillies second baseman won't be on the wild-card roster against the Atlanta Braves as he continues to rehab a sprained left ankle, manager Don Mattingly told reporters on Monday.

Arraez suffered the injury on Thursday trying to avoid a tag at first base, and he then missed the Phillies' final series of the year.

Philadelphia acquired Arraez from the San Francisco Giants in August. In 46 games with the Phillies, he slashed .278/.309/.369 with a .678 OPS and 21 RBIS.

On the season as a whole, Arraez hit .310/.345/.419 with a .765 OPS and 64 RBIs in 151 games.
