With their season on the line, the Milwaukee Brewers are turning to a veteran lefty.
Jose Quintana will start in Friday's Game 4 of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reported.
Live coverage is available on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT.
Quintana, 36, last appeared during Game 3 of the NLDS, pitching three shutout innings of relief in his lone post-season outing this year.
For the season, Quintana made 24 starts, going 11-7 with a 3.96 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 89 strikeouts over 131.2 innings.
Now, he'll be tasked with keeping the Brewers' season alive as they face a 3-0 deficit in the NLCS.
The Dodgers will counter with two-way star Shohei Ohtani on the mound.
Brewers star outfielder Jackson Chourio's status is also in question after he left Thursday's Game 3 with a cramp.
Game 5, if necessary, would take place Saturday at Dodger Stadium, with Games 6 and 7 set to be back in Milwaukee on Monday and Tuesday.
The winner will face whoever comes out of the ALCS between the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners. Their series is currently tied 2-2.
