The Seattle Mariners will be under new management in 2027.
Skipper Dan Wilson has informed the club that he won't be back as manager next season, according to the Seattle Times' Ryan Divish.
Wilson has served as the Mariners manager for parts of the past three seasons. He took over on an interim basis in 2024, and remained in the position through the final day of the 2026 campaign.
After leading Seattle to Game 7 of the ALCS in 2025, Wilson and the Mariners disappointed in 2026, entering Sunday's action at 75-86 — well out of post-season contention.
Wilson enters his final contest with a career 186-171 record.
A longtime Mariners catcher, Wilson played 12 seasons in Seattle and was honoured as one of the top 50 players in franchise history by the organization earlier this season.
