Foster Griffin’s sparkling return to MLB will continue with Cleveland.
The Washington Nationals have agreed to trade the left-hander to the Cleveland Guardians, MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reported Monday.
Griffin, 30, made his return to MLB this season after pitching for three seasons in Japan. He has been an effective starter for the Nationals and earned his first All-Star selection.
Before pitching in Japan, Griffin made 12 appearances with the Kansas City Royals and one appearance with the Toronto Blue Jays between 2020 and 2022.
He will be a free agent at the end of the season.
