Justin Verlander will officially cap off his Hall of Fame career with one final start this weekend.
The Detroit Tigers announced on Tuesday that Verlander will take the ball Saturday at Comerica Park against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
It will be just Verlander's second start of the season, as he's been sidelined since the first week of April with hip and hamstring injuries.
The 43-year-old announced in July that this will be his final season, and he was named a Legend Pick to the All-Star Game by MLB commissioner Rob Manfred.
Verlander is a three-time Cy Young winner, two-time World Series champion and one-time American League MVP over his 21 seasons in MLB. Of that, he pitched 14-years with the Tigers and also made stops with the Astros, Rangers, Giants and Mets.
Verlander is eighth on the all-time strikeouts list with 3,554.
