Since 2000, the Detroit Tigers have called Comerica Park home. But in 2027, Detroit's home ballpark will undergo an identity change.
The Tigers announced Monday that the field will be renamed Fifth Third Park starting next season after Fifth Third Bank acquired Comerica Bank in October 2025.
Detroit is set to begin its final homestand of 2026 on Monday, as it welcomes the Washington Nationals to Comerica for a three-game set before the Pittsburgh Pirates come to town to close out the season over the weekend.
Comerica's naming rights for the park were extended through 2034 in 2018 and will carry over to Fifth Third.
Only nine major-league teams have played in their home parks without a name change other than the Tigers at Comerica Park, per MLB.com:

The Tigers' first game at Fifth Third Park will come on March 25 against the Chicago White Sox as the AL Central foes kick off the 2027 season with a three-game series.
