The New York Yankees have acquired minor league outfielder Cam Eden from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash considerations, the team announced on Friday.
Eden, 26, has been a mainstay with triple-A Buffalo this season and is slashing .198/.299/.322 with seven home runs, 35 RBI and 26 stolen bases.
He has 153 stolen bases in 420 minor-league games.
He made his major league debut with the Blue Jays last season, making five appearances with the club mostly as a pinch runner or defensive substitution. He had one hit and one run in six at-bats.
The Yuba City, Cali., native was picked by Toronto in the sixth round of the 2019 MLB Draft out of the University of California, Berkeley.
