The New York Yankees' rotation may have just taken a blow.
Lefty Ryan Weathers exited Saturday's start against the Toronto Blue Jays in the fourth inning with left forearm tightness, the team said, adding he will undergo imaging later in the day.
After tossing a pitch to Blue Jays centre fielder Myles Straw, he paced around the field in seeming anguish before catcher Austin Wells called to the dugout.
Manager Aaron Boone and the Yankees trainer came to check on Weathers, who departed almost immediately and was replaced by reliever Yerry De Los Santos.
Weathers, 26, finished with 3.1 innings, allowing eight hits and two earned runs with three strikeouts.
He held a 3.56 ERA over 24 starts entering Saturday with 140 strikeouts in 135 innings.
