The Toronto Blue Jays announced that outfielder Bradley Zimmer has been activated ahead of Sunday afternoon’s series finale against the Texas Rangers.

To make way for Zimmer, infielder Gosuke Katoh has been optioned to the triple-A Buffalo Bisons.

The Jays acquired Zimmer on April 7 from the Cleveland Guardians in return for right-handed pitcher Anthony Castro.

Zimmer hit eight home runs and notched 35 RBI in 99 games with Cleveland in 2021 with a .227/.325/.344 slash line.
