MONTREAL — CF Montreal acquired midfielder Caden Clark from Minnesota United FC on Thursday.
In return, the Major League Soccer club will send US$50,000 in general allocation money and a second-round pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft to Minnesota.
Minnesota could receive $100,000 if Clark meets unspecified performance conditions. The club also retains a sell-on percentage should Clark be transferred out of MLS.
Clark had one assist over 11 starts and 23 total appearances after joining Minnesota in January 2024.
The 21-year-old American began his professional career with the New York Red Bulls, totalling eight goals and four assists in 50 games across all competitions.
Internationally, he had two goals and four assists in 12 games for the United States under-20 team.
