Toronto FC defender Reid Fisher is getting a shot with the big club.
The 2025 first-round pick has signed a short-term agreement, the MLS club announced Wednesday.
Fisher has been playing with Toronto FC II, an MLS NEXT Pro team. This is the second short-term agreement he has signed with TFC, making him eligible for Wednesday's home fixture against Philadelphia.
Toronto FC selected the San Diego State product 23rd overall in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft. Fisher has made 29 appearances and 25 starts across two seasons with TFC II.
Per MLS rules, a club may sign a player, aged 25 or younger, from its MLS NEXT Pro affiliate to a maximum of four short-term agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season. An individual player may be included on up to four MLS league season match rosters each season, but that player may appear in no more than two MLS regular-season matches.
