Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson is on his way to becoming the greatest UFC champion of all time—if he’s not already there—and his fifth-round submission of Ray Borg this past weekend at UFC 216 is among his most impressive achievements.
Johnson suplexed Borg and while Borg was suspended in mid-air the champion proceed to transition to an armbar. He secured the submission hold and seconds later Borg tapped.
You can watch the incredible maneuver (plus other highlights from the event) in super slow motion below.
The win marked his 11th consecutive title defence, which is a new UFC record. The only flyweight titleholder the promotion has ever known previously shared the record with former middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
