Conor McGregor is officially returning to the octagon.
McGregor will fight Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 329 on July 11, the promotion announced on Saturday.
The fight will take place at welterweight.
It will mark McGregor's first fight since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 — and will be one day removed from occurring exactly five years of the injury.
McGregor (22-6) was scheduled to return for a fight against Michael Chandler in July 2024, but withdrew due to a toe injury.
The brash Irishman was one of the UFC's biggest stars when burst onto the scene in 2013 and became the first UFC fighter to hold two championship belts in 2016 with a win over Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title. He won the featherweight title a year earlier with a knockout of Jose Aldo.
McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match in 2017 during a two-year hiatus from the UFC, but has lost three of his last four fights.
The bout will also be a rematch for the two fighters, with McGregor defeating Holloway by unanimous decision in 2013.
Holloway, the current No. 4-ranked lightweight, can get back into the win column following a loss to Charles Oliveira in March.
The 34-year-old (27-9) is widely regarded as one of the best the sport has ever seen. He won the featherweight belt at UFC 206 in December 2016 until a loss to Poirier in April 2019. He quickly won it back with a win in July, before losing it to Alex Volkanovski at UFC 245 in December 2019.
