Aoki vs. Boku set for ONE FC 8 headliner Friday

Japanese superstar Shinya (Tobikan Judan) Aoki returns to mixed martial arts action in Sinagapore Friday, where he will be the challenger for a title.

The Dream lightweight champion looks to win for the second time with the Asian-based ONE Fighting Championship when he faces 155-pound champion Kotetsu (No Face) Boku in the main event of ONE FC: Kings & Champions at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Aoki and Boku both debuted with organization in October, with Aoki defeating Arnaud Lepont in a super-fight, while the South Korean won by TKO over Zorobabel Moreira to capture the vacant belt. Boku (20-7-2) has six wins in his past seven fights.

Aoki (32-6, 1 NC), who put Lepont to sleep with a triangle choke just 1:25 into their bout, is coming off a win over Antonio McKee in a non-title Dream bout in Tokyo on New Year’s Eve. The black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo is looking to add another belt to his resume.

Neither fighter competed at the previous ONE FC show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in February, but they will headline Friday’s card, which will be available via online pay-per-view in North America Friday morning.
