August 26 still seems so far away.
The lead-up to the big Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather boxing match has already been full of fireworks, with both contenders constantly looking for a mental edge — or just to get the last word in.
They aren’t the only ones. NBA all-star and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green decided to get in on the trash talk on Sunday.
If he thought ‘The Notorious’ was going to be the bigger person and ignore the Instagram post, he was wrong.
After Mayweather commented on the photo in agreement, saying “Splash for the cash #warriors #michigan,” it was McGregor’s turn to chime in.
Green responded by listing his accomplishments, but forgot to mention he finished sixth among NBA players in technical fouls last season with 18.
It seems everyone in the sports world has something to say about the Mayweather-McGregor fight, and there is still another month for those comments to be heard and responded to by the two men taking part in it.
