Aspen Ladd will be looking to remain undefeated in her professional MMA career when she takes on Germaine de Randamie on Saturday in the main event at UFC Fight Night Sacramento as a -150 favourite on the UFC odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
The 24-year-old has been dominant in three contests since joining the UFC, capped by a unanimous decision victory over Sijara Eubanks as -280 chalk at UFC Fight Night 152 that lifted her pro MMA record to a perfect 8-0 going into Saturday night’s matchup at Golden 1 Center.
Ladd has claimed six of her wins inside the distance, including a pair of first-round victories by TKO, and has garnered bonuses in each of her past two outings, including Performance of the Night honours for her crushing first-round knockout of Tonya Evinger as a -190 favourite at UFC 229.
While de Ramanie returns to action riding a four-fight win streak, the 35-year-old faces Ladd in her second fight since returning to the UFC women’s bantamweight division as a +120 underdog at online sports betting sites. The “Iron Lady” saw her two most recent fights go the distance, including a five-round unanimous decision win over Holly Holm at UFC 208 that briefly earned her the UFC women’s featherweight crown.
But while de Ramanie owns an 8-3 overall record, she is just 4-2 in six career contests as a bantamweight. Each of her two defeats as a bantamweight have come in the opening round, most notably a first-round TKO loss to reigning UFC featherweight and bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes as a +110 bet at UFC Fight Night 31.
Elsewhere on the UFC Sacramento odds, veteran Urijah Faber returns to the octagon for the first time since 2016 as a lengthy +265 underdog as he takes on fellow bantamweight Ricky Simon.
The Sacramento native stepped away from the MMA game after earning a unanimous decision over Brad Pickett at UFC on Fox 22, but struggled prior to that victory, losing three of his previous four fights, all by unanimous decision. However, the 40-year-old has enjoyed regular success when fighting in front of a hometown crowd, going 5-2 in seven previous fights in Sacramento.
A rising star in the UFC bantamweight division, Simon enters Saturday night’s contest as a strong -350 favourite. The 26-year-old is undefeated in eight outings, including three UFC fights, but has seen has past two contests settled by the judges.
Earlier in the evening, Mirsad Bektic faces Josh Emmett as -160 chalk in a clash of featherweights, while Karl Roberson is a -210 favourite in his fight with fellow middleweight Wellington Turman.
