Hester dominated Frasier Opie en route to a decision win to earn a spot in the TUF House. Hester displayed a well-rounded skill set and received praise from both Chael Sonnen, his eventual coach Jon Jones and UFC president Dana White for his performance.
Meanwhile, Quinlan manhandled Mike Pearsons with superior wrestling and power, winning by first-round TKO in his fight-in bout.
Hester and Quinlan look to join Team Sonnen’s Luke Barnatt, Kelvin Gastelum and Uriah Hall, plus Team Jones’ Collin Hart and Samman in the quarterfinals.
On last week’s episode, Samman knocked out Tor Troeng in one round with a beautiful jab-cross combo.
