Featherweights Jose Aldo and Chan Sung Jung could each be out several months following their UFC 163 main event.

Aldo defended his 145-pound title for a seventh consecutive time – two of those title defences came while he competed in the WEC – as he stopped The Korean Zombie with a fourth-round TKO.

The champ fractured his right foot on a kick he threw and has been suspended for 90 days, 60 days with no contact.

Meanwhile, Jung is suspended for 180 days or until he is cleared by a doctor following an MRI after separating his shoulder when he threw a punch in the fourth round, resulting in the turning point of the bout.

Light-heavyweight Phil Davis, who won a unanimous decision over Lyoto Machida in the co-main event, is also suspended for 180 days or until he is cleared by a doctor after having an x-ray of his right foot.

Flyweight Ian McCall and women’s bantamweight Amanda Nunes also got 180-day bans and require x-rays of the right hand and right rib, respectively.

UFC 163 took place at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro and the event was overseen by the Brazilian Athletic Commission, which issued the medical suspensions.
