TORONTO — Canadian lightweight John (The Natural) Alessio will face Shane Roller at UFC 148 on July 7 in Las Vegas.
The 32-year-old native of Duncan, B.C., who fights out of Las Vegas, is coming off a loss to fellow Canadian Mark Bocek in his return to the UFC at UFC 145 in April.
Alessio (34-15) made his UFC debut back at UFC 26 in June 2000 when he lost to Pat Miletich.
Roller (10-6) is a former NCAA All-American wrestler at Oklahoma State whose last three UFC fights have been losses to Michael Johnson, Canadian T.J. Grant and Melvin (The Young Assassin) Guillard.
