Kon Knueppel is back.
The Charlotte Hornets sophomore forward will make his season debut against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, the team announced.
Knueppel missed all of the pre-season and the first eight games of the regular season with a left hamstring strain suffered in an off-season workout.
The 2025 No. 4 overall pick had an outstanding rookie season, averaging 18.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists on 47.5 per cent shooting from the field and 42.5 per cent from three.
Knueppel broke the NBA rookie record for three-pointers made in a season with 273; he led the league in threes and broke the Hornets franchise record for triples made in a campaign.
The former Duke Blue Devil was named to the 2025-26 All-Rookie team and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting behind his college teammate, Cooper Flagg.
The Hornets are 3-5 to begin the season and sit ninth in the Eastern Conference.
