Hornets' Miles Bridges charged with felony in L.A., released on bail

Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges was charged with a felony in Los Angeles on Wednesday, according to a police document obtained by Sportsnet.

No other details about the charge were included in the document. Bridges, 24, was arrested just before 2 p.m. PT and released on a $130,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 20.

"The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges," the team said in a statement. "We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time."

Bridges was given a qualifying offer by the Hornets on Wednesday and is a restricted free agent.

The Hornets originally selected Bridges 12th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft.
