The Luka Donic era likely will begin Monday night in Los Angeles.
For the first time since being acquired in a stunning blockbuster trade last week, Doncic is listed as probable to be in Lakers lineup when L.A. hosts the Utah Jazz on Monday, per Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.
Doncic had been listed as questionable heading earlier with a left calf strain. Monday's game can be viewed on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT.
Also listed as probable is LeBron James. He previously was questionable with left ankle soreness that kept him out of the team's last game.
The 25-year-old Doncic has been sidelined since Christmas Day with the injury. He is averaging 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game.
Dallas traded Doncic, Maxi Kleber, and Markieff Morris to Los Angeles for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a first-round pick.
Doncic was selected third overall in 2018, with the Mavs trading to acquire the Slovenian star on draft night. He spent seven years in Dallas, earning five All-Star nods and being named to five consecutive All-NBA first teams. He holds career averages of 28.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.2 steals through 422 games on 47.0/34.8/74.8-per-cent shooting splits.
