The Toronto Raptors now have two centres on their standard roster.
Colin Castleton is back with the team for the final game of 2024-25, and potentially next season as well, although the deal is fully non-guaranteed, Sportsnet's Blake Murphy reported on Friday.
The team made the signing official on Sunday, though it did not disclose terms.
The six-foot-11 big man is averaging four points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 24 games this season split between the Memphis Grizzlies, Philadelphia 76ers and Raptors.
Castleton was given the opportunity and enjoyed success during his 10-game stint with the Raptors on back-to-back 10-day deals. The 24-year-old averaged 6.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.8 blocks while playing nearly 26 minutes per game.
Castleton went on to join the 76ers for four games after the expiration of his most recent 10-day. The Raptors made space to bring him back and convert AJ Lawson to a standard contract after waiving Cole Swider and Orlando Robinson on Thursday.
It stands to reason that Castleton will be a part of the Raptors' Summer League roster and compete for a spot on the team during training camp in the fall.
Toronto plays its final game of the season against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
