Another young player will get the chance to shine at the Slam Dunk Contest.
Milwaukee Bucks second-year guard Andre Jackson Jr. has joined the ranks for the high-flying competition, ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Thursday.
The UConn product is set to join rookies Stephon Castle of the San Antonio Spurs and Matas Buzelis of the Chicago Bulls, with one more player still yet to be revealed for what is typically a four-man contest.
Jackson Jr. has established himself as a starter in his sophomore season in Milwaukee, averaging 3.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.
Though perhaps more known for his defence, Jackson Jr. has showcased some serious hops in his short time in the league, including an absurd putback slam that saw him elevate over a Kings defender last March.
The 23-year-old has thrown down 11 dunks this season and was well-known for his rim-rocking abilities while playing for the national championship-winning Huskies
G League standout Mac McClung has won the contest twice in a row. However, the NBA has not yet announced if the 26-year-old dunk artist will be back for a potential three-peat.
