Another high-flying NBA rookie has joined the Slam Dunk Contest field.
Chicago Bulls wing Matas Buzelis will participate in All-Star Saturday Night's final event, Shams Charania of ESPN reported on Monday.
Buzelis was selected 11th overall by the Bulls in the in 2024 draft. The 20-year-old is averaging 4.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks over 42 games.
The six-foot-10 Chicago native has thrown down 18 dunks this season while playing for his hometown squad.
Fellow rookie Stephon Castle of the San Antonio Spurs has also committed to the event.
G-League standout Mac McClung has won the contest twice in a row, however the NBA has not yet announced if the 26-year-old dunk artist will be back for a potential three-peat.
